Our venue

Set in the quintessential Cornish fishing harbour of Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall we are a rejuvenated, historical old lifeboat station as close as can be to the water’s edge.

At the front of the building, we have a fish and chips take away serving a range of quality fresh cooked menu items to enjoy whilst sitting at our outdoor tables or upon the sun trapped harbour walls.

To the rear of the building, we have a bright and airy bar and restaurant with seating for 30 customers and a breath-taking view over the lifeboat slipway across the bay towards the Manacles and beyond.

We have invested heavily into updating the old lifeboat station not only to create a great destination to dine in but also an enjoyable, well-equipped place to work. The last couple of years we had to adapt our take away options and the restaurant has remained closed. As things get back to normal, we are keen to reopen our restaurant and reward our staff with not only a great remuneration package but also a realistic work/life balance.

“Covid and staff shortages have told but this is a marvellous place for food. Cannot recommend highly enough their cajun chicken sandwich! Fish and chips excellent, mackerel pate a delight, scampi meaty and not greasy and their fishcake sublime. Did we mention their cajun chicken sandwich? Juicy, spicy (but not hot) and plentiful… Read the full review on tripadvisor”

“Not disappointed”

“A busy takeaway that did not dissapoint us. They have a variety of gluten free options which met our dietary requirements. The fish and fishcake options were delicious although we were informed of a waiting time. We took advantage of our waiting time to take in the harbour and stunning views. They staff very helpful and friendly and would definitely return.”
