The Old Lifeboat House in Coverack, Cornwall

Set in the quintessential Cornish fishing harbour of Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall we are a rejuvenated, historical old lifeboat station as close as can be to the water’s edge.

At the front of the building, we have a fish and chips take away serving a range of quality fresh cooked menu items to enjoy whilst sitting at our outdoor tables or upon the sun trapped harbour walls.

To the rear of the building, we have a bright and airy bar and restaurant with seating for 30 customers and a breath-taking view over the lifeboat slipway across the bay towards the Manacles and beyond.

As we are a small independent business we do not have the luxury of staff managing our emails or messenger. The best way to book in our restaurant is by phone. We can then run through any dietary requirements your party may have.

Please note we don’t do take out pre-orders.

We are a dog friendly restaurant

Fabulous Christmas Meal

Visitors rave about the fish and chips at the Lifeboat House (and so they should), but this fabulous little restaurant in Coverack Harbour offers SO much more.
Thank you Mark, Senta and the whole team for an amazing Christmas meal last night, a great way to start December! Seven of us enjoyed different dishes from the festive menu, and it was definitely the best Christmas meal out we have ever had. The portion sizes were so generous we needed ‘take away left-over’ boxes!
I wish we had taken photographs to post, but will just say you certainly won’t be disappointed eating here.

Brilliant burgers

We visited the Lifeboat House twice whilst in Coverack, once for fish and chips (and Curry!) and also sat in the reaturant. The fish and chips was good as was the homemade curry. The real winner was the dirty burgers. We visited on an afternoon the resturant was quiet and all went for the burger option although this was a tough choice as the menu had lots of delicious options. We were advised by staff all food is cooked to order so may take a little while, this wasn’t a problem as we wnjoyed a drink and the children were given crayons and colouring books. When the burgers arrived they were huge, so much so I struggled to finish it all. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, especially the blonde Kiwi waitress (apologies can’t remember names!) If we are back in coverack we will be back to try some of the other options on the board.
